Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
A mourning dove sitting on the branch of a bush with red berries puffs its feathers out against the cold of winter, trying to keep warm.
Mourning doves were frequent visitors to my parents' home. I visited my parents I would love to wake up to the sound of the doves gently cooing. My parents had a bird feeder attached to the glass sliding door to their back yard and the doves could often be found sitting right inside the feeder, warming up. Or a pair of them would be sitting together on the wooden fence. I was always thoroughly charmed by their presence.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...
